Well, for a while I was having real trouble with this one. I've made up so many ridiculous names myself for the key here (like Fewocappus and Shortoporus) that they began blurring together with real-life silly names like Hapalopilus and Bdellospora.

But at length a clear favorite emerged. True, there are funny-sounding fungal names like Fanniomyces and Gerronema; and there are cool-sounding ones, like Neocosmospora and Lachnocladium. But my favorite is Saksenaea. Why? Because it was declared by Saksena himself (herself?); it's a self-honorific. That's gotta win some sort of prize...
