Biography

Rytas Vilgalys is a professor at Duke University, where he runs the Agaric phylogeny project, which is trying to amass as much DNA information about fungi as possible, and build those new trees of relatedness. He has been a co-author on many of the more exciting papers using DNA sequences to infer which mushrooms are related to which.
