Scott is a very nice and helpful person, and one of the most prominent contemporary taxonomists. He has spent his life trying to make our genera make sense. I'm not saying that he has succeeded, but he's certainly come as close as anyone. (Maybe this is in the nature of the enterprise: you can make some of the genera make sense to all the people, and you can make all of the genera make sense to some of the people...)
