Biography

1877     studies at the school of pharmacy in Paris

works as an apothecary in Orten

1881 - 1884     works as an apothecary in Poligny

1884 - 1885     works as an apothecary in Fontenay-sous-Bois

1885 - 1898     works as an apothecary in Paris

1893 - 1900     works as preparator and assistant in the natural history museum of Paris

1898 - 1922     works as an apothecary in Neuilly

Patouillard was one of the pioneers (along with Karsten and Quélet And Samuel Frederick Gray) in making (and using!) smaller, more useful genera.
